Navy Carz

A friend of mine on Facebook posted this picture of me from when I was in the navy. To date, it is the only picture of me from when I was in the navy to surface. I haven't found any in my photo albums and I don't think my mother, or any other family member, has any pictures of me from that time in my life. (I never was one for taking pictures of myself because I already knew what I looked like - plus - selfies were not invented yet. lol) I could have done without the red-eye effect, it erases my baby blues. lol But this was me waking up with a hangover - as it was the theme of my life back then. Drinking, women and more drinking and women,. lol

Thanks to my friend Julie for sharing it with me.

    1. Thanks!!! I was thinking the same thing. Ha-ha Although, I'm not really sure what I am holding in my right hand. It could have been a cigarette or maybe a breakfast beer. (Beer was the first breakfast choice back then when not deployed.)

  2. For anyone wondering why the serious look ...... I was doing my best Rick Springfield impression from his album "Living In Oz"

    1. O_O .... I don't know how to respond to that. Judges? .... O_o ..... Okay, we will accept man-whore. lol So thanks. (I think)

Oh yeah, the sideburns. Well, it's no secret that I grew up Elvis. My mother loves him. My aunt loves him. I got a lot of him in my entertainment diet both records and movies. Hell, I love him. - Also, I could only grow hair on a few parts of my body and sideburns was one of them so I went with it. A slight past regulation but I always pushed the limits of what I could get away with. Lucky for me a lot of people higher ranked than I really liked me. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why. lol

  4. I was about to say that your sideburns do not look military regs. My husband wasn't allowed sideburns like that when he was in the army. Guess navy isn't too strict with that are they? I agree with the first anon you look ruggedly hot. Wish that shirt wasn't getting in the way. :)

    1. Thanks.

It depended on what you did in the navy for how strict it was. It just so happened that my department wasn't that strict. Plus, I was a barber, everyone on the ship knew who the barber was on a carrier with 3000 crew. I was probably more famous then than I am now. lol

  8. How many girls have you been with? Whatever it is I don't think it's something to be proud of.

    1. That's a little too personal.

It's not anything that has to do with being proud, but I am not ashamed of my life choices. I was single. I wanted to stay single. I had many relations with girls. In between I wrote a lot.

The thing about life is, you got to fight to live it to your satisfaction. You can't follow the crowd. You have to follow your heart. That's what I did. I lived my life for me, and me only. Just as I hope you all get to live yours for yourselves.

    1. Thank you so much. Same to you. My best to you and your family and to everyone else also. I am looking forward to see what I do next too. LOL Right now, I am mostly focused on just fixing this diseased heart. Hope to get into the studio soon but will have to wait until my producer gets settled in his new home.

Now that I think about it, I should do a merry xmas post.
